Just a day after posting my "Pie Chart of Blame" video NFL.com's Vic Carucci backs all my points up. The only problem is it's for Brett Favre and not Cutler. He sights bad o-line play, a poor running game, and lack of motivation for the Vikings problems. If he thinks those are problems for the Vikings he's obviously never seen a Bears game this year.
This is typical media love for Brett Favre, the good ol' boy from Mississippi who just loves to play the game....*PUKE*. Meanwhile anything and everything that Cutler does is scrutinized beyond belief.

Week 15 Review Chicago Bears @ Baltimore Ravens
I'm going to keep this short because with the season basically over I'm focusing all my attention to videos.Three things I want to say.
1. The Bears organization did more to GET to the game then they did PLAYING in it. Think about all the trouble the Bears had to go through to get to Baltimore only to show up and basically poop on the field.
2. Why are people asking Jerry Angelo about Lovie Smith's fate? Jerry is on the same hot seat as Lovie so you might as well be asking Ron Turner.
3. I'm happy and sad. Sad because the Bears are a huge disappointment this year and this game was another example of that. Happy because that embarrassing loss gets us one step closer to Angelo and Lovie saying bye bye.

Week 14 Review Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
I'm not going to do my usual post here, because I'm going to ramble instead.
The three words to sum up this season are "how the hell?"
How the hell do the Bears give up a touchdown on the first defensive play from scrimmage?
How the hell does Lovie throw the red flag after calling a timeout?
How the hell are Cutler and the wide receivers still not on the same page?
How the hell has Aromashodu been listed behind Bennett all year?
How the hell is Frank Omiyale still starting?
Dispute the fact that the Bears were playing absolutely horrible they still had a good chance of beating their fierce rival. Personally I think the Bears could have won this game if it weren't for poor coaching. Yes, Cutler threw the interception that lead to the Bears to losing the lead, but it's obvious that the coaching staff isn't taking advantage of the offensive players they have on the field.
After this game it should be obvious to any Bears fan that the Bears coaching staff can't lead this team to victory anymore. I understand that the Bears would be paying Lovie for nothing next season, but they're basically paying him for nothing this season. With so many awesome head coaches available this offseason the Bears would be missing out on a golden opportunity if they decided to keep Lovie.
From now on Bear Down Bacon's Chicago Bears talk will be known as "FIRE LOVIE SMITH BLOG". Who should the Bears hire? BILL COWHER!

Week 14 Preview Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

QUICK THOUGHTS
This is the last meaningful game for many Bears fans. The Bears don't have a chance at making the playoffs, but they do have a chance to beat their biggest rival. If the Bears can win this one the season won't be a total loss.
THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- The Packers secondary to play physical against the Bears WR corps. The Bears WR's are speedy and undersized. The Packers CB's are big and physical. If the Bears can find a way to get off the line clean then this game could be interesting.
- The Bears could bear-ly run the ball against a hopeless Rams team. I doubt they'll be able to do anything against the Pack.
PREDICTION
My brain says that there is no way the Bears will win this game. My heart says that they have to. I'm going to go with my heart on this one... who cares if I'm wrong.
Bears - 24
Packers - 21

Week 13 Review St. Louis Rams @ Chicago Bears

MY TAKE
I've got good news and bad news. The good news is the Bears won. The bad news is they beat the Rams.
THINGS TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GAME
- If there is one thing the Bears can do this year it's beat horrible teams. This at least shows us that the Bears aren't as bad as their offensive and defensive rankings.
- Can anyone else sitting at home call 90% of the Bears offensive plays? I'm sorry, but if I know what's coming then so does the opposing defense.
AWARDS
MVB - Jamar Williams: Filled in nicely for Briggs with 13 tackles.
Play That Made Me Pee A Little - Earl's big catch: Cutler threw a perfect pass and Earl was off to the races (too bad it wasn't Knox or Hester because that would have been a TD). Everyone watching knew he would fumble, but he was so close to the sidelines that I wasn't worried.
Suck My Nut - Broncos fans: I can't go anywhere online without some idiot Bronco fan saying something about Cutler. If any of these "fans" watched the games instead of looking at the box score they would see that Cutler is doing the best he can with what he has to work with. PLUS this year doesn't determine the validity of the trade. Cutler has many more years with the Bears to prove that this was a legitimate trade. I'm sure many Broncos fans already know this and they're just getting after Cutler while they have the chance.

Week 13 Preview St. Louis Rams @ Chicago Bears

Check me out on Twitter HERE or Youtube HERE or e-mail me at beardownbacon@gmail.com
QUICK THOUGHTS
The Bears really suck this year, but at least they're not the Rams. That's basically all I have to say. Oh, and even though the Bears haven't made the playoffs in 3 years they are still #4 in prime time (check out the article).
THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Really keep an eye on the Bears offensive line. They have made some big moves and unless the Bears can get a good free agent signing this is what they will have to work with next year... sad.
- Everyone knows the Rams can't stop the run and the Bears can't run the ball so something has to break. I think the Bears will end the day with some great rushing numbers because the Rams will focus on stopping Cutler.
PREDICTION
If the Bears can come out on offense and get a 14 point lead then this game is over, but we all know the Bears can't do that. They'll start off slow and this game will be close until halftime. I think the Bears still come away with an easy win.
Rams - 10
Bears - 30

Week 12 Review Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
MY TAKEWell everyone knew this was going to happen. I don't know a single person who didn't think the Vikings would win this game. Any Bear fan who has watched the last 5 games could have told you exactly what was going to happen in Minnesota.
I'm not upset with the loss, but I am upset at how far this team has fallen. I don't want to make excuses for or even look into how it could be fixed until they fix the number one thing wrong with this team and that's the general manager.
THINGS TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GAME
- It's a win win situation for Bears fans now. If the Bears win I'm happy. If the Bears lose I'm happy because that's one step closer to Lovie and Angelo being fired.
- Angelo has never had good luck with his 1st day picks, and he can never land a good free agent (with the exception of Cutler).
- Jerry Angelo used to have a good track record with late round picks. He used to be able to find the diamonds in the rough. He can't even do that anymore.
- The Bears organization bought a new HDTV (Jay Cutler), but they don't even have cable (offensive line). They need to get cable, a blu ray player (offensive minded head coach), and surround sound (wide receivers).
AWARDS
This team played so bad I can't even give them fake awards.

MAILBAG
I've been getting a lot of e-mails lately and I decided it might be a good idea to address at least one of them because it deals with this next game.
Anonymous Wrote
"Hey BDB, now that those of us with sense have written the season off, I agree with your sentiment that we should just have fun watching the game. I also tedn to think that perhaps it's time for the coaching staff to "have some fun" with formations and play-calling. For instance, move Chris Williams to left tackle. Your thoughts?"
Don't expect the Bears to make any major changes just yet for 2 reasons.
1. Making those kinds of changes means that your giving up on this year and preparing for next year. Technically they still have a shot at the playoffs. They would have to win out on the year and this isn't going to happen, but as long as this team has a shot the coaching staff isn't going into 2010 mode.
2. The chances might be slim that Lovie Smith will lose his job, but there is still a chance it could happen and the coaching staff knows this. That chance increases if the Bears get swept by the Packers and Vikings. That chance increases 10 fold if the Bears lose their last 6. So even if the Bears are mathematically eliminated from the playoff picture with a loss this week don't look for any major changes right away.
SIDE NOTE TO OTHER E-MAILERS: I will be doing more videos soon, don't worry.
QUICK THOUGHTS
I'm posting this preview pretty early in the week because I don't think there is much to say about this game. To say it optimistically, the Bears are a work in progress. All those mistakes that we saw in the first loss of the season to Green Bay are still there. It just looks like this team doesn't have the personnel it needs to move forward. Some changes are going to have to be made in the offseason and the Bears as a franchise are going to have to figure out how to use a franchise quarterback.
THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- The Bears did come out and play a close game against the Eagles and probably surprised a lot of people. Expect the same thing this week. I can see the Vikings coming out and scoring 10 points on their first two drives and then the Bear defense will slow down the Vikings offense. Unfortunately the slow down will probably be for only a quarter and then the Vikings will bust a few big plays and knock the Bears out.
- A different Brett Favre. Favre knows he has a great team around him and he doesn't need to do a lot for them to win. This isn't the same Favre that the Bears have dominated the last few years. This is Favre with an awesome running back and great defense.
- The Metrodome to still be a horrible stadium. I'm sorry but the Humpty Dump is a joke. Don't get me wrong, I know the place is loud because of the fiberglass dome. That's not why it's a joke. The Twins and Gophers finally got out of that place, and now the Vikings are the only team left. GET OUT OF THAT PLACE AND PLAY OUTSIDE!
PREDICTION
I can see this game being close at halftime, but a blowout by the end.
Chicago Bears - 21
Minnesota Vikings - 35
